If the chime is toggled to On, the system will beep three times. The chime function is toggled On or Off by either pressing and holding the "Chime" button on the keypad for two seconds or by entering in. Either all entry/exit and instant zones will chime, or none of them will. It is not possible to program the chime feature individually for doors. This is as opposed to interior doors or motions, which a user would rarely want to produce a chime sound when the system is disarmed. The Instant zone type is used for windows, or doors that should not be opened while the system is armed. The Entry/Exit zone type is typically only programmed with doors that are used to exit the building after the system has been armed, or enter the building while armed. The only sensors that will have the system produce a chime are those programmed as Entry/Exit or Instant zone types.
